B. Braun (Thailand) Ltd., Aesculap Academy, and Ramathibodi Comprehensive Cancer Center (RCCC) organized a professional training program titled ‘Asia Pacific Home based-chemotherapy workshop’ between 7th- 8th September 2023. The workshop was graced by the opening speech of the Director of Ramathibodi Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Surasak Leela-Udomlipi, M.D., welcomed the Asia Pacific attendees from the countries of Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.

The training in this workshop addressed concepts of home chemotherapy, which allows the opportunity for sharing expertise and experiences between attendees and develop new skills and knowledge.
The workshop was led by Dr. Phichai Chansriwong, Oncologist, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital together with the team of expert oncologists, pharmacists, and nursing staff from RCCC.

After theoretical sharing from the staff, active Hands-on learning session and even Q&A session together with a current Home Chemo patient gave insights into the set-up that the hospital has implemented in their program. The attendees were also able to visit the Pharmacy, Inpatient department and Short Stay service which provided a real-life look into process of the ambulatory home-based chemotherapy model.
